What kind of Wales do you want for your children?

The IWA’s innovative ‘Crowd Sourced’ Constitutional Convention on the future of Wales and the UK, is being launched on January 26th with a debate and drinks reception in Cardiff’s new Abacus art gallery.

Both First Minister Carwyn Jones, and Welsh Secretary Stephen Crabb, agree that any powers being offered to Scotland as a result of the Smith Commission should be available to Wales if we want them. But do we want them? And what would it mean in practice? That’s what we’ll be asking over the course of the next few months.

Thanks to dozens of small donations from across Wales, and the support of the UK’s Changing Union project, we are holding an eight-week experiment in deliberative democracy.

We’ll be beginning the discussions on January 26th at 6pm. Come along and take part in the debate about Wales’ future.

Speakers to be confirmed.

Tickets for this event are free, but booking is required. To book your ticket for the launch, please go to our Eventbrite page.
