Making Wales Better: The Next Thirty

In July this year the IWA will be celebrating its 30th anniversary. To mark three decades of the IWA’s role in making Wales better, we would like to look forward by introducing some of the talent who will be shaping ‘the Welsh agenda’ over the next thirty years.

We invite your nominations for the people who are shaping tomorrow’s Wales today. They could be in politics, law, technology or business; health, social care or education; public service, community or charity work; culture, media or sport; they may have made their mark in the public square already, or they may be working quietly but influentially behind the scenes or below the radar. We’re open to suggestions from any sector. Your nominees do not necessarily have to be under a certain age, but their potential to shape Wales’ future should conceivably stretch toward our imagined horizon in 2047.

In the next issue of the welsh agenda, we will be revealing our final list. Of course, like all such exercises, it won’t be definitive or exhaustive – but we hope it will offer an exciting glimpse of the talent we will surely need to call upon if we are to continue to make Wales better for all who live and work here.

To nominate someone, please send an email to dylan@iwa.org.uk with the following details:

1. Your nominee’s name
2. What do they do now?
3. What makes them stand out?
4. What might they do next?
